Warning when certificate expires

Certificates for tracking via your own domain are only valid for a certain period of time (usually 1 year). A banner is therefore displayed in the accounts that use tracking via their own domain to inform them of the expiry date.

Entry URL as a new dimension

A new dimension entry URL has been added. This behaves in the same way as the entry page, only with the URL instead of the page name. The dimension is displayed in the Content group under the Entry page dimension in all reports that also contain an entry page, such as marketing reports (detailed list below).

The new dimension has also been released for the segment editor and can be used there.

Matomo campaign parameter mapping

To make it easier for customers switching from Matomo to etracker, etracker now also offers a mapping of Matomo parameters in the same way as Piwik parameter mapping. This means that existing campaign links can simply continue to be used and do not have to be laboriously converted into etracker campaign links.

Consent Mode v2

In the etracker tag manager, the values required for Consent Mode v2 are now set when the Google Tag is played. This is the “type” called “basic implementation” by Google (the tag is only fired when consent for the category has been given). This means that etracker fulfills Google’s requirements for Consent Mode v2.

Channel grouping

Channel grouping is a new feature with which even selected media, origins and campaigns can be grouped together under a new dimension called channel. As soon as a channel has been added, the selected traffic from the medium, origin or campaign flows into the new channel.
