Debug mode

The debug mode in the etracker tag manager allows you to test tags on your website in real time by simply appending this URL parameter:

?et_debug=1

This allows you to ensure that all triggers and tags work correctly before they are put into operation.

Functions

• Live testing: Test all created tags in real time on your website.
• User-friendly overlay: Access a clear overlay that displays all tags, including drafts.
• Customizable position: Change the position of the overlay to avoid covering important elements.
• No reloading of the page: Prevents other pages from being called up when you click on links during the test.
• Tag triggering: Easily test the triggering of tags by certain actions, e.g. by clicking on a button.
• Detailed tag view: Click on a tag to see details and the associated triggers. You can also execute a tag manually here.
  
• Tracking blocking: Actions in debug mode have no influence on the etracker report data by default. However, the playback of tags can also be switched on permanently. Furthermore, individual tags can also be played manually by pressing the “Play” button.
• Language selection: Select whether the overlay should be displayed in German or English.
