For whom is the etracker consent & tag manager recommended?
The two add-on modules from etracker analytics offer several advantages:
- Only one code in the website (the etracker code).
- Added third tags (for Google, Meta, LinkedIn & Co.) are automatically controlled via Consent Management and do not have to be laboriously maintained there!
- No extra CMP license or tag manager required – saves effort and costs.
With regard to the data protection-compliant control of third party tags, this decision tree shows the various options:
The function calls for the connection to external consent management platforms (CMPs) or your own consent dialogs can also be found in the etracker account under the menu item consent manager.
If no third-party services are used that require consent, the use of consent management can be dispensed with. In this case, the etracker tag manager can only be used for the configuration of etracker tags, as described below.
Setting up the etracker consent manager
1. Select etracker consent manager in the menu.
2. configure dialog and trigger. Edit the design directly in the preview.
